Cookies
The internet pages of Elias Lange use cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored on a computer system via an internet browser. Many websites and servers use cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identification of the cookie. It consists of a string of characters that can be used to assign Internet pages and servers to the specific Internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables the Internet pages and servers visited to distinguish the individual browser of the person concerned from other Internet browsers that contain other cookies. A specific Internet browser can be recognized and identified by means of the unique cookie ID.
By using cookies, Elias Lange can provide the users of this website with more user-friendly services that would not be possible without the setting of cookies.

By means of a cookie, the information and offers on our website can be optimised in the interest of the user. As already mentioned, cookies enable us to recognise the users of our website. The purpose of this recognition is to make it easier for users to use our website. For example, the user of a website that uses cookies does not have to enter his or her access data each time he or she visits the website, because this is done by the website and the cookie stored on the user’s computer system. Another example is the cookie of a shopping cart in the online shop. The online shop uses a cookie to remember the articles that a customer has placed in the virtual shopping cart.

The person concerned can prevent the setting of cookies by our website at any time by means of a corresponding setting in the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Furthermore, cookies that have already been set can be deleted at any time via an Internet browser or other software programs. This is possible in all common Internet browsers. If the person concerned deactivates the setting of cookies in the Internet browser used, it is possible that not all functions of our website can be fully used.

Collection of general data and information
Elias Lange’s website collects a number of general data and information every time a data subject or automated system accesses the website. These general data and information are stored in the log files of the server. The following can be recorded: (1) the browser types and versions used, (2) the operating system used by the accessing system, (3) the website from which an accessing system accesses our website (so-called referrer), (4) the sub-websites which are accessed via an accessing system on our website, (5) the date and time of an access to the website, (6) an Internet Protocol address (IP address), (7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system and (8) other similar data and information which serve to avert danger in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.

When using this general data and information, Elias Lange does not draw any conclusions about the person concerned. Rather, this information is required in order (1) to deliver the contents of our website correctly, (2) to optimise the contents of our website and the advertising for it, (3) to ensure the permanent operability of our information technology systems and the technology of our website, and (4) to provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for criminal prosecution in the event of a cyber attack. These anonymously collected data and information are therefore statistically evaluated by Elias Lange on the one hand and also with the aim of increasing data protection and data security in our company, in order to ultimately ensure an optimum level of protection for the personal data processed by us. The anonymous data of the server log files are stored separately from all personal data provided by a person concerned.

Subscription to our newsletter
On Elias Lange’s website, users are given the opportunity to subscribe to our company’s newsletter. The input mask used for this purpose indicates which personal data is transmitted to the data controller when ordering the newsletter.
Elias Lange informs its customers and business partners at regular intervals by means of a newsletter about offers of the company. The newsletter of our company can only be received by the data subject if (1) the data subject has a valid e-mail address and (2) the data subject registers for the newsletter. For legal reasons, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address first registered by a data subject for newsletter dispatch using the double opt-in procedure. This confirmation e-mail is used to check whether the owner of the e-mail address, as the data subject, has authorized the receipt of the newsletter.

When registering for the newsletter, we also save the IP address assigned by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) of the computer system used by the person concerned at the time of registration as well as the date and time of registration. The collection of this data is necessary in order to be able to trace the (possible) misuse of the e-mail address of a data subject at a later date and therefore serves to provide legal protection for the person responsible for processing.
The personal data collected during registration for the newsletter is used exclusively for sending our newsletter. In addition, subscribers to the newsletter could be informed by e-mail if this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or for registration, as could be the case if there are changes to the newsletter offer or if technical conditions change. The personal data collected within the scope of the newsletter service will not be passed on to third parties. The subscription to our newsletter can be cancelled by the person concerned at any time. The consent to the storage of personal data, which the person concerned has given us for the newsletter service, can be revoked at any time. For the purpose of revoking this consent, a corresponding link can be found in every newsletter. It is also possible to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time directly on the website of the data controller or to inform the data controller responsible for the to notify the controller in another way. The newsletter is offered / handled by the service provider Revue Holding B.V., which may collect and store further data. You can find information on this at https://www.getrevue.co/dpa.

Newsletter Tracking
The newsletters of Elias Lange contain so-called counting pixels. A pixel-code is a thumbnail image embedded in e-mails sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and analysis. This allows a statistical evaluation of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. By means of the embedded counting pixel, Elias Lange can identify whether and when an e-mail was opened by a person concerned and which links contained in the e-mail were called up by the person concerned. Such personal data collected via the embedded tracking pixels in the newsletters are stored and analysed by the data controller in order to optimise the newsletter dispatch and to adapt the content of future newsletters even better to the interests of the data subject. This personal data is not passed on to third parties. Data subjects are entitled at any time to revoke the separate declaration of consent given in this regard via the double opt-in procedure. After revocation, these personal data will be deleted by the data controller. Elias Lange automatically interprets a cancellation of receipt of the newsletter as a revocation.

Contact possibility via the website
Due to legal requirements, the website of Elias Lange contains information that enables rapid electronic contact with our company as well as direct communication with us, which also includes a general address for so-called electronic mail (e-mail address). If a data subject contacts the data controller by e-mail or via a contact form, the personal data transmitted by the data subject is automatically stored. Such personal data transmitted by a data subject to the controller on a voluntary basis are stored for the purposes of processing or for contacting the data subject. The comments made in Elias Lange’s blog can be subscribed to by third parties. In particular, it is possible for a commentator to subscribe to the comments following his or her comment on a particular blog post.
If a data subject opts for the option to subscribe to comments, the data controller sends an automatic confirmation e-mail to verify, by means of a double opt-in procedure, that the owner of the e-mail address provided has indeed opted for this option. The option to subscribe to comments can be cancelled at any time.

The controller shall process and store personal data relating to the data subject only for the period of time necessary to achieve the purpose of storage or where provided for by the European legislator or other legislator in laws or regulations to which the controller is subject. Affilinet’s applicable data protection regulations can be found at https://www.affili.net/de/footeritem/datenschutz.

Privacy policy regarding the use of Facebook
The data controller has integrated components of the company Facebook on this website. Facebook is a social network.
A social network is a social meeting place operated on the Internet, an online community that generally allows users to communicate with each other and to be active in virtual space to interact. A social network can serve as a platform for the exchange of opinions and experiences or enable the Internet community to provide personal or company-related information. Facebook enables social network users to create private profiles, upload photos and network via friend requests, among other things.

The operating company of Facebook is Facebook, Inc. 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. The person responsible for processing personal data if a data subject lives outside the USA or Canada is Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.
Each time the data controller calls up one of the individual pages of this website, which is operated by the data controller and on which a Facebook component (Facebook plug-in) has been integrated, the Internet browser on the information technology system of the data subject is automatically prompted by the respective Facebook component to download a display of the corresponding Facebook component from Facebook. A complete overview of all Facebook plug-ins is available at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/?locale=de_DE. As part of this technical process, Facebook is informed which specific page of our website is visited by the person concerned.
If the person concerned is logged in to Facebook at the same time, Facebook recognizes which specific subpage of our website the person concerned is visiting each time the person concerned calls up our website and for the entire duration of their stay on our website. This information is collected by the Facebook component and assigned by Facebook to the respective Facebook account of the person concerned. If the person concerned clicks on one of the Facebook buttons integrated on our website, for example the “Like” button, or if the person concerned makes a comment, Facebook assigns this information to the personal Facebook user account of the person concerned and stores this personal data.

Facebook receives information via the Facebook component that the data subject has visited our website if the data subject is logged in to Facebook at the same time when he or she accesses our website; this occurs regardless of whether the data subject clicks on the Facebook component or not. If the data subject does not want this information to be transmitted to Facebook, he or she can prevent the transmission by logging out of his or her Facebook account before accessing our website. The data policy published by Facebook, which is available at https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/, provides information about the collection, processing and use of personal data by Facebook. It also explains which setting options Facebook offers to protect the privacy of the person concerned. In addition, various applications are available that make it possible to suppress data transmission to Facebook, such as the Facebook blocker from the provider Webgraph, which can be obtained at http://webgraph.com/resources/facebookblocker/. Such applications can be used by the data subject to suppress data transfer to Facebook.

Facebook pixels, custom audiences and Facebook conversion
Within our online offer, due to our legitimate interests in analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer and for these purposes the so-called “Facebook pixel” of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are resident in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”), is inserted. Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active). On the one hand, the Facebook pixel enables Facebook to determine the visitors of our online offer as a target group for the presentation of advertisements (so-called “Facebook ads”). Accordingly, we use the Facebook Pixel in order to display the Facebook Ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offer or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) which we transmit to Facebook (so-called “Custom Audiences”). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook Ads correspond to the potential interest of the users and do not appear annoying. With the help of the Facebook Pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users are redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called “conversion”). The processing of data by Facebook takes place within the framework of Facebook’s data usage guidelines. Accordingly, general information on the display of Facebook ads is provided in the Facebook Data Usage Policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. Specific information and details about the Facebook pixel and its functionality can be found in the Facebook help area: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616. You can object to the collection by the Facebook pixel and use of your data for the display of Facebook ads. To control what types of ads are displayed to you within Facebook, you can go to the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions for usage-based advertising settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads. The settings are platform-independent, meaning that they are applied to all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices. You can also opt-out of the use of cookies for audience measurement and advertising purposes by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page (http://optout.networkadvertising.org/) and additionally the U.S. website (http://www.aboutads.info/choices) or the European website (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/).

Data protection provisions on the use and application of functions of the WORT Collecting Society (VG WORT)
The data controller has integrated counting pixels on this website. A pixel-code is a thumbnail image embedded in Internet pages to enable log file recording and log file analysis for statistical purposes. The integrated counting pixels are used by the Scalable Central Measuring Method (SZM) of the Verwertungsgesellschaft WORT (VG-Wort).
The Scalable Central Measurement Method is operated by INFOnline GmbH, Forum Bonn Nord, Brühler Str. 9, 53119 Bonn, Germany. The Scalable Central Measurement Procedure is used to determine statistical key figures with which the copy probability of texts is calculated. The embedded counting pixel enables the WORD collecting society to recognize whether, when and by how many users (including the person concerned) our website was opened and what content was retrieved. The data obtained by means of the Scalable Central Metering System is collected anonymously. In order to record the number of accesses, either a so-called session cookie is set, i.e. a signature is created, which is composed of various automatically transmitted information, or alternative methods are used for the purpose of recognising the users of a website. The IP address of the Internet connection used by the person concerned is only collected and processed in anonymised form. The data subject is not identified at any time. The person concerned can prevent the setting of cookies by our website, as already described above, at any time by means of a corresponding setting in the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Such a setting of the Internet browser used would also prevent INFOnline from setting a cookie on the information technology system of the person concerned. In addition, cookies already set by INFOnline can be deleted at any time via an Internet browser or other software programs. Furthermore, the data subject has the opportunity to object to the collection of data generated by INFOnline and relating to the use of this website, as well as to the processing of such data by INFOnline, and to prevent such processing. To do so, the data subject must press the opt-out button under the link http://optout.ioam.de, which sets an opt-out cookie. The opt-out cookie set with the objection is stored on the information technology system used by the data subject. If the cookies are deleted on the data subject’s system after an objection, the data subject must call up the link again and set a new opt-out cookie.
With the setting of the opt-out cookie, however, it is possible that the Internet pages of the the data controller is no longer fully available to the data subject.
INFOnline’s applicable data protection provisions can be found at https://www.infonline.de/datenschutz/.

Data protection provisions on the use and application of Google AdSense
The person responsible for processing has integrated Google AdSense on this website. Google AdSense is an online service that enables the placement of advertising on third party sites. Google AdSense is based on an algorithm which selects the advertisements displayed on third party sites according to the content of the respective third party site. Google AdSense allows an interest-related targeting of the internet user, which is implemented by generating individual user profiles. The operating company of the Google AdSense component is Alphabet Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.
The purpose of the Google AdSense component is to integrate advertisements on our website. Google AdSense sets a cookie on the information technology system of the person concerned. What cookies are, has already been explained above. By setting the cookie, Alphabet Inc. is able to analyze the use of our website. Each time the data controller accesses one of the individual pages of this website, which is operated by the data controller and on which a Google AdSense component has been integrated, the Internet browser on the data subject’s information technology system is automatically prompted by the respective Google AdSense component to transmit data to Alphabet Inc. for the purposes of online advertising and the billing of commissions. As part of this technical process, Alphabet Inc. obtains knowledge of personal data, such as the IP address of the person concerned, which is used by Alphabet Inc. among other things to trace the origin of visitors and clicks and subsequently to enable commission settlements.
The person concerned can prevent cookies from being set by our website, as described above, at any time by means of a corresponding setting in the Internet browser used, thereby permanently opposing the setting of cookies. Such a setting of the Internet browser used would also prevent Alphabet Inc. from setting a cookie on the information technology system of the person concerned. In addition, a cookie already set by Alphabet Inc. can be deleted at any time via the Internet browser or other software programs. Google AdSense also uses so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a thumbnail graphic that is embedded in Internet pages to enable log file recording and log file analysis, which enables statistical evaluation. Alphabet Inc. can use the embedded pixel-code to identify whether and when an Internet page was opened by an affected person and which links were clicked on by the affected person. Counting pixels are used, among other things, to evaluate the flow of visitors to a website. Through Google AdSense, personal data and information, which includes the IP address and is necessary for the collection and billing of the displayed advertisements, is transferred to Alphabet Inc. in the United States of America. This personal data is stored and processed in the United States of America. Alphabet Inc. may pass on this personal data collected via the technical process to third parties. Google AdSense is explained in more detail under this link https://www.google.de/intl/de/adsense/start/.

Privacy policy on the use and application of Google Analytics (with anonymisation function)
The person responsible for processing has integrated the Google Analytics component (with anonymisation function) on this website. Google Analytics is a web analysis service. Web analysis is the collection, collection and evaluation of data on the behaviour of visitors to websites. Among other things, a web analysis service collects data on which website a person concerned came to a website from (so-called referrers), which sub-pages of the website were accessed or how often and for how long a subpage was viewed. A web analysis is mainly used to optimise a website and to analyse the cost-benefit of internet advertising. The operating company of the Google Analytics component is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.
The data controller uses the addition “_gat._anonymizeIp” for web analysis via Google Analytics. By means of this addition, the IP address of the data subject’s Internet connection is shortened and made anonymous by Google if our Internet pages are accessed from a member state of the European Union or from another state that is a party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The purpose of the Google Analytics component is to analyse the flow of visitors to our website. Among other things, Google uses the data and information obtained to evaluate the use of our website in order to compile online reports for us which show the activities on our website and to provide further services in connection with the use of our website. Google Analytics places a cookie on the information technology system of the person concerned. What cookies are has already been explained above. By setting the cookie, Google is able to analyse the use of our website. Each time one of the individual pages of this website, which is operated by the data controller and on which a Google Analytics component has been integrated, is called up, the Internet browser on the information technology system of the person concerned is automatically prompted by the respective Google Analytics component to transmit data to Google for the purpose of online analysis. Within the scope of this technical procedure, Google receives knowledge of personal data, such as the IP address of the person concerned, which Google uses, among other things, to trace the origin of visitors and clicks and subsequently to enable commission settlements.
By means of the cookie, personal information such as the access time, the place from which an access originated and the frequency of visits to our website by the person concerned is stored. Each time our website is visited, this personal data, including the IP address of the Internet connection used by the person concerned, is transmitted to Google in the United States of America. This personal data is stored by Google in the United States of America. Google may pass on this personal data collected through the technical process to third parties. The person concerned can prevent the setting of cookies by our website, as already described above, at any time by means of a corresponding setting in the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Such a setting of the Internet browser used would also prevent Google from setting a cookie on the information technology system of the person concerned. In addition, a cookie already set by Google Analytics can be deleted at any time via the Internet browser or other software programs. Furthermore, the data subject has the option of requesting the recording of the data collected by Google Analytics, to object to and prevent the use of this website and the processing of this data by Google. For this purpose, the person concerned must download and install a browser add-on under the link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This browser add-on informs Google Analytics via JavaScript that no data and information about visits to websites may be transmitted to Google Analytics. The installation of the browser add-on is considered by Google as a contradiction. If the data subject’s information technology system is deleted, formatted or reinstalled at a later date, the data subject must reinstall the Browser Add-On in order to deactivate Google Analytics. If the browser add-on is uninstalled or deactivated by the person concerned or another person within his or her sphere of control, the browser add-on may be reinstalled or reactivated.
You can prevent the collection by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent future collection of your information when you visit this site: Disable Google Analytics
Further information and Google’s applicable privacy policy can be found at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html. Google Analytics is explained in more detail at this link https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/analytics/

Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows us to manage so-called website tags via an interface (and thus integrate e.g. Google Analytics and other Google marketing services into our online offering). The Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) does not process any personal user data. With regard to the processing of users’ personal data, we refer to the following information on Google services. Terms of use: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html.

Privacy policy on the use and application of Google Remarketing
The data controller has integrated Google Remarketing services on this website. Google Remarketing is a function of Google AdWords that enables a company to display advertising to Internet users who have previously visited the company’s website. The integration of Google Remarketing thus allows a company to create user-related advertising and thus to display interest-relevant advertisements to the Internet user.
The operating company of the Google Remarketing services is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.
The purpose of Google Remarketing is the display of interest-relevant advertising. Google Remarketing enables us to display advertisements via the Google advertising network or to have them displayed on other Internet sites that are tailored to the individual needs and interests of Internet users.
Google Remarketing places a cookie on the information technology system of the person concerned. What cookies are has already been explained above. By setting the cookie, Google is able to recognise the visitor to our website if he or she subsequently calls up websites that are also members of the Google advertising network. Each time a website on which the Google Remarketing service has been integrated is accessed, the Internet browser of the person concerned automatically identifies itself to Google. In the course of this technical process, Google obtains knowledge of personal data, such as the IP address or the surfing behaviour of the user, which Google uses, among other things, to display interest-relevant advertising. By means of the cookie, personal information, such as the websites visited by the person concerned, is stored. Whenever our website is visited, personal data, including the IP address of the Internet connection used by the person concerned, is transmitted to Google in the United States of America. This personal data is stored by Google in the United States of America. Google may pass on this personal data collected via the technical process to third parties.
Furthermore, the person concerned has the possibility to object to interest-based advertising by Google. To do so, the person concerned must call up the link www.google.de/settings/ads from each of the Internet browsers he or she uses and make the desired settings there. Further information and Google’s applicable privacy policy can be found at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

Privacy policy on the use and application of Google AdWords
The data controller has integrated Google AdWords on this website. Google AdWords is an internet advertising service that allows advertisers to display ads in Google’s search engine results as well as in the Google advertising network. Google AdWords allows an advertiser to set pre-defined keywords that will display an ad in Google’s search engine results only when the user uses the search engine to retrieve a keyword-related search result. In the Google advertising network, the ads are distributed to topic-relevant web pages by means of an automatic algorithm and in accordance with the previously defined keywords.
The operating company of the Google AdWords services is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.
The purpose of Google AdWords is to advertise our website by displaying advertisements relevant to our interests on the websites of third-party companies and in the search engine results of the Google search engine, and to display third-party advertisements on our website. If a person concerned reaches our website via a Google advertisement, a so-called conversion cookie is stored on the information technology system of the person concerned by Google. What cookies are has already been explained above. A conversion cookie loses its validity after thirty days and does not serve to identify the data subject. If the cookie has not expired, the conversion cookie is used to determine whether certain sub-pages, such as the shopping cart from an online shop system, have been accessed on our website. The conversion cookie enables us and Google to track whether a person who has reached our website via an AdWords ad generated sales, i.e. whether he or she made a purchase or aborted. The data and information collected through the use of the conversion cookie is used by Google to create visit statistics for our website. These visit statistics are in turn used by us to determine the total number of users who were referred to us via AdWords ads, i.e. to determine the success or failure of the respective AdWords ad and to optimize our AdWords ads for the future. Neither our company nor other Google AdWords advertisers receive any information from Google that could be used to identify the person concerned.
The conversion cookie is used to store personal information, such as the websites visited by the person concerned. Whenever a person visits our website, personal data, including the IP address of the Internet connection used by the person concerned, is transmitted to Google in the United States of America. This personal data is stored by Google in the United States of America. Google may pass on this personal data collected via the technical process to third parties.
The person concerned can prevent the setting of cookies by our website, as already described above, at any time by means of a corresponding setting in the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Such a setting of the Internet browser used would also prevent Google from setting a conversion cookie on the information technology system of the person concerned. In addition, a cookie already set by Google AdWords can be deleted at any time via the Internet browser or other software programs.
Furthermore, the data subject has the opportunity to object to interest-based advertising by Google. To do so, the person concerned must call up the link www.google.de/settings/ads from each of the Internet browsers he or she uses and make the desired settings there.
Further information and Google’s applicable privacy policy can be found at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

Cookie Info Script
On the website a web service is loaded by Cookie Info Script to display a cookie information note (banner). We use this to inform visitors about cookies in order to guarantee the full functionality of our website and to be in compliance with the DSGVO. In this context, your browser may transmit personal data to Cookie Info Script (https://cookieinfoscript.com/legal.html) or to Cloudflare (CloudFlare Inc., 101 Townsend St, 94107 San Francisco) and Amazon AWS (Amazon Europe Core S.à r.l. , 5 Rue Plaetis in 2338 Luxembourg, LU). The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The legitimate interest lies in the faultless functioning of the website. CloudFlare has certified itself within the framework of the EU-US Privacy Shield Agreement (see https://www.privacyshield.gov/list). The data will be deleted as soon as the purpose for which it was collected has been fulfilled. Gravatar
We use within our website the Gravatar service of Automattic Inc, 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA. Gravatar is a service where users can register and post profile pictures and their email address. If users leave contributions or comments on other websites using their e-mail address, their profile pictures can be displayed next to the contributions or comments. For this purpose, the e-mail address provided by the user is transmitted in encrypted form to Gravatar for the purpose of checking whether a profile is stored for it. This is the only purpose of transmitting the e-mail address and it will not be used for other purposes, but will be deleted afterwards. The use of Gravatar is based on our legitimate interests in the sense of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO, because with the help of Gravatar we offer the possibility to personalise the contributions and comments of the authors with a profile picture. By displaying the images, Gravatar can find out the IP address of the user, as this is necessary for communication between a browser and an online service. For more information about Gravatar’s collection and use of data, please see Automattic’s privacy policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/. If users do not want a user picture linked to their email address to appear in their comments, they should use an email address that is not registered with Gravatar. We would also like to point out that it is also possible to use an anonymous e-mail address or no e-mail address at all, if users do not want their own e-mail address to be sent to Gravatar. Users can completely prevent the transmission of data by not using our comment system.

Privacy policy for the use and application of SlideShare
The data controller has integrated SlideShare components on this website. LinkedIn SlideShare, as a file hosting service, enables the exchange and archiving of presentations and other documents such as PDF files, videos and webinars. The file hosting service allows users to upload media content in all common formats. The documents can either be made publicly available or marked with a private tag.
The operating company of SlideShare is LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. For data protection matters outside the USA, LinkedIn Ireland, Privacy Policy Issues, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, is responsible.
LinkedIn SlideShare provides so-called embed codes for the media content (presentations, PDF files, videos, photos, etc.) stored there. Embed codes are program codes that are embedded in internet pages with the aim of displaying external content on the own website. Embed codes make it possible to reproduce content on one’s own website without storing it on one’s own server and thereby possibly violating the reproduction rights of the respective author of the content. A further advantage of using an embed code is that the respective operator of an Internet page does not use its own storage space and its own server is thereby relieved. An embed code can be integrated at any point of another website, so that external content can also be inserted within the own text. The purpose of using LinkedIn SlideShare is to relieve our server as well as to avoid copyright infringements when using external content at the same time.
Each time you visit our website, which is equipped with a SlideShare component (embed codes), this component causes the browser you are using to download embedded data from SlideShare. This technical process allows LinkedIn to know which specific page of our website is visited by the person concerned. If the person concerned is logged in at the same time, SlideShare recognizes with each visit of the person concerned to our website and during the whole duration of the respective stay on our website, which specific subpage the person concerned is visiting. This information is collected by SlideShare and assigned to the respective SlideShare account of the person concerned by LinkedIn. LinkedIn receives information about the fact that the person concerned has visited our website via the SlideShare component whenever the person concerned is logged in to SlideShare at the same time when he/she visits our website; this happens regardless of whether the person concerned clicks on the integrated media data or not. If the data subject does not want this information to be transmitted to LinkedIn, he/she can prevent the transmission by logging out of his/her SlideShare account before accessing our website.
LinkedIn also uses partners such as Quantcast, Google Analytics, BlueKai, DoubleClick, Nielsen, Comscore, Eloqua and Lotame who may set cookies. Such cookies can be rejected at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/cookie-policy. LinkedIn’s current privacy policy is available at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Privacy policy on the deployment and use of DoubleClick
The data controller has integrated components of DoubleClick by Google on this website. DoubleClick is a brand of Google under which mainly special online marketing solutions are marketed to advertising agencies and publishers.
The operating company of DoubleClick by Google is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA. If the browser accepts this request, DoubleClick places a cookie on the data subject’s information technology system. What cookies are has already been explained above. The purpose of the cookie is to optimize and display advertising. The cookie is used, among other things, to serve and display advertisements relevant to the user and to report on or improve advertising campaigns. The cookie is also used to avoid multiple displays of the same advertisement.
DoubleClick uses a cookie ID, which is required to complete the technical process. For example, the cookie ID is needed to display an advertisement in a browser. DoubleClick can also use the cookie ID to track which ads have already been displayed in a browser to avoid duplicate ads. DoubleClick is able to capture conversions through the cookie ID. For example, conversions are captured when a user has previously seen a DoubleClick ad and subsequently makes a purchase on the advertiser’s website using the same Internet browser.
A DoubleClick cookie does not contain any personal information. However, a DoubleClick cookie may contain additional campaign identifiers. A campaign identifier is used to identify the campaigns with which the user has already been in contact. Each time a user accesses one of the individual pages of this website operated by the data controller and on which a DoubleClick component has been integrated, the internet browser on the information technology system of the data subject is automatically prompted by the relevant DoubleClick component to transmit data to Google for the purposes of online advertising and the billing of commissions. In the course of this technical process, Google obtains knowledge of data which also serves Google to create commission statements. Among other things, Google can trace that the person concerned has clicked on certain links on our website.
In addition, cookies already set by Google can be deleted at any time via an internet browser or other software programs.
Further information and DoubleClick by Google’s applicable privacy policy can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/.

Yandex.Metrica uses “cookies”, small text files placed on user computers to analyze user activity. Legal basis of the processing
Art. 6 I lit. a DS-GVO serves our company as a legal basis for processing operations for which we obtain consent for a specific processing purpose. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, as is the case, for example, with processing operations necessary for the supply of goods or provision of other services or consideration, the processing is based on Art. 6 I lit. b DS-GVO. The same applies to such processing operations which are necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures, for example in cases of enquiries about our products or services. If our company is subject to a legal obligation which makes it necessary to process personal data, for example to fulfil tax obligations, processing is based on Art. 6 I lit. c DS-GVO. In rare cases, the processing of personal data may be necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person. This would be the case, for example, if a visitor to our company were to be injured and his or her name, age, health insurance details or other vital information had to be disclosed to a doctor, hospital or other third party. The processing would then be based on Art. 6 I lit. d DS-GVO.
Finally, processing operations could be based on Art. 6 I lit. f DS-GVO. Processing operations which are not covered by any of the above legal bases are based on this legal basis if the processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or of a third party, provided that the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not prevail. We are permitted to carry out such processing operations in particular because they have been specifically mentioned by the European legislator. In this respect, it took the view that a legitimate interest could be assumed if the data subject is a customer of the controller (Recital 47 sentence 2 DS-GVO).
Legitimate interests in the processing pursued by the controller or a third party
If the processing of personal data is based on Article 6 I lit. f DS-GVO, our legitimate interest is to carry out our business activities for the benefit of the well-being of all our employees and our shareholders.
Duration for which personal data are stored
The criterion for the duration of storage of personal data is the respective legal retention period. After expiry of the period, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, provided that it is no longer required for the fulfilment or initiation of the contract.
Legal or contractual provisions on the provision of personal data; necessity for the conclusion of a contract; obligation of the data subject to provide the personal data; possible consequences of not providing the data
We would like to inform you that the provision of personal data is partly required by law (e.g. tax regulations) or can also result from contractual regulations (e.g. information on the contractual partner).
Sometimes it may be necessary for a contract to be concluded that a data subject provides us with personal data, which must subsequently be processed by us. For example, the data subject is obliged to provide us with personal data if our company concludes a contract with him/her. Failure to provide the personal data would mean that the contract with the data subject could not be concluded.
Before the person concerned makes personal data available, he or she must contact our data protection officer. Our data protection officer will inform the data subject on a case-by-case basis whether the provision of the personal data is required by law or contract or necessary for the conclusion of the contract, whether there is an obligation to provide the personal data and what the consequences would be if the personal data were not provided.
Existence of automated decision making
As a responsible company, we avoid automatic decision making or profiling.

Agency services
We process the data of our customers within the scope of our contractual services, which include conceptual and strategic consulting, campaign planning, software and design development/consulting or maintenance, implementation of campaigns and processes/handling, server administration, data analysis/consulting services and training services. Here we process Inventory data (e.g., customer master data, such as names or addresses), contact data (e.g., e-mail, telephone numbers), content data (e.g., text entries, photographs, videos), contract data (e.g., subject matter of the contract, duration), payment data (e.g., bank details, payment history), usage and meta data (e.g., within the scope of evaluation and performance measurement of marketing measures). As a matter of principle, we do not process special categories of personal data, unless they are part of a commissioned processing. Those affected include our customers, interested parties and their customers, users, website visitors or employees, as well as third parties. The purpose of processing is to provide contractual services, billing and our customer service. The legal basis of the processing is derived from Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO (contractual services), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO (analysis, statistics, optimisation, security measures). We process data which are necessary for the justification and fulfilment of the contractual services and point out the necessity of their disclosure. Disclosure to external parties is only made if it is necessary within the scope of an order. When processing the data provided to us within the scope of an order, we act in accordance with the instructions of the client and the legal requirements of order processing in accordance with Art. 28 DSGVO and do not process the data for any other purposes than those specified in the order. We delete the data after the expiry of statutory warranty and comparable obligations. The necessity of storing the data is reviewed every three years; in the case of statutory archiving obligations, the deletion is carried out after the expiry of these obligations (6 years, in accordance with § 257 para. 1 HGB, 10 years, in accordance with § 147 para. 1 AO). In the case of data that has been disclosed to us by the client within the scope of an order, we delete the data in accordance with the specifications of the order, in principle after the end of the order.

Administration, financial accounting, office organisation, contact management
We process data within the framework of administrative tasks as well as the organisation of our operations, financial accounting and compliance with legal obligations, such as archiving. In doing so, we process the same data that we process within the scope of providing our contractual services. The basis for processing is Art. 6 Par. 1 lit. c. DSGVO, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO. Customers, interested parties, business partners and website visitors are affected by the processing. The purpose of and our interest in the processing lies in the administration, financial accounting, office organisation, archiving of data, i.e. tasks which serve to maintain our business activities, perform our tasks and provide our services. The deletion of data in relation to contractual services and contractual communication corresponds to the information mentioned in these processing activities. In doing so, we disclose or transfer data to the financial administration, consultants, such as tax consultants or auditors, as well as other fee agencies and payment service providers. Furthermore, we store information on suppliers, event organisers and other business partners on the basis of our business interests, e.g. for the purpose of contacting them at a later date. This data, which is mainly company-related, is stored permanently.
